// Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group takes over Sersa Total Track Ltd

Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group (RSRG) has purchased the remaining shares and is now the sole owner of the Canadian registered company Sersa Total Track Ltd (STT). The European based Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group offers full service for railway infrastructure and has purchased the remaining shares from the second shareholder Tim Mann.

In December 2009 the Swiss based railway construction and maintenance SERSA Group took over the majority of shares of Total Track. The name of Total Track Ltd was then changed to Sersa Total Track Ltd. The Sersa Group with its subsidiaries in Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Great Britain employs about 900 staff in the various countries. In September 2012 Sersa Group and Rhomberg Rail merged becoming one of the largest and most versatile rail construction companies in the world now employing more than 2600 staff in various countries and owning more than 350 track construction machines and locomotives.Today, Sersa Total Track Ltd. is the Canadian division of the Austrian/Swiss based Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group. The RSRG are world leaders, innovators and specialists in rail track construction and rail systems. RSRG has been at the forefront of rail track engineering technologies, project management and construction for over 70 years.STT is located in Mallorytown, ON, in close proximity to Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Over the last years STT has been investing in the newest machine technologies such as a RM 80 Undercutting Machine, Plasser GRM 3000 Tamper, Plasser Dynamic Stabilizer PTS 90 C, Harsco Mk4 tamping machines and Nordco M7 ballast regulators and various other heavy rail maintenance and construction equipment.
