// Grinding for Scarborough Rapid Transit / TTC in Toronto

After completing the grinding for Streetcar Way for the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) in April 2016, Rhomberg Sersa Rail Canada won another large grinding contract with the TTC.

Since October 2016 the grinder Grail1 is deployed on the Scarborough Rapid Transit (SRT) to remove corrugation and re-profile the rail.

The 6km long line 3 is part of the Toronto subway network and is located entirely in the district of Scarborough, it encompasses 6 stations and runs at its entire length at surface level.

The Grail1 crew and machine are planned to cover more than 100 shifts over the next 3 years on SRT track.

The grinding work is carried out by Rhomberg Sersa Rail Canada’s sister company Sersa Total Track.
